Creative Realities Call for Creative Measures

Chetu’s ability to act quickly on client needs attracts technology-oriented companies confronted with tight deadlines on projects of their own. Creative Realties Inc (CRI), a digital signage and content management connoisseur, takes a humanistic approach to technical design and app development. Their one-stop-shop business proposition has piqued the interest of high-profile clients seeking connected showrooms and immersive courses. Creative Realities develops and maintains complex content across a multi-channel devices, locations, and end points.

One of their projects required them to convert existing storytelling content from Flash to HTML5 using a content authoring tool called Articulate 360. In order to keep pace with an influx of new projects, their team needed a quick and reliable resource to scale up their development output and be able to leverage Articulate Storyline 360.

From Archaic to Cutting Edge

After recognizing they could not complete the job entirely in-house, the CRI team recruited Chetu to transition the content from Flash to HTML5. The project was extremely ambitious from the beginning, over 800 hours of work in just two months. CRI depended on Chetu learn the ins and outs of Articulate 360, turning around to apply those skills immediately.

We needed to extract images, sounds, and text from existing source files and convert that content into Articulate storyline. First, we compartmentalized the requirements and engineered an accelerated project plan.

Compressed Timelines Conquered

Despite the compressed timelines, Creative Realities received the final source code to meet their client deadlines, on schedule. Both teams learned considerably more about Articulate Storyline, and parted ways with the door still open for later engagement.

The Flash was converted to HTML5, giving the platform a more sustainable future in a highly fluid, web-based landscape. The compatibility issues that have transitioned Flash from a powerhouse to an archaism will no longer impact CRI’s client. With HTML5, the client’s online learning content is supported by all browsers natively and requires less processing power.

Creative Realities was presented with a project their free-lanced developers could not complete on their own. They needed a team of developers they could assemble quickly. The project was ambitious and grueling.
