Let's Talk !
Chetu develops custom assistive technology software solutions to aid users with limited ability to perform various types of tasks and utilize adaptive and rehabilitative devices.
Our blindness and low-vision assistive technology solutions include text-to-speech (TTS) readers, smart magnifiers, talking and braille watches, GPS devices with descriptive audio navigation, and spatial-aware mobility aids with IoT functionality (smart canes and wheel chairs). We develop multilingual screen reading software with advanced resolution and color-contrast settings, as well as voice-command computer software for easily installation, device integration, document management, and internet browsing. Our braille technology services include interfacing braille displays, keyboards, embossers, and printers with desktop and mobile operating systems.
We program software, including public communication systems, for the deaf and hard of hearing. Our embedded software programming capabilities for assistive listening devices include frequency modulation, direct audio inputs, room-limited infrared systems, and induction loops. We program assistive listening systems and smart hearing aids with noise reduction algorithms, automated settings controls based on environmental conditions (including wind and other feedback), remote controls, and Bluetooth compatibility for accessing phones' calling and media audio.
We develop Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) applications and embedded device software, providing communication solutions for those suffering from cognitive illnesses and learning disabilities (autism, dyslexia, TBI, ALS, cerebral palsy). We design software for Speech-Generating Devices (SGD) with customizable selection sets, direct and indirect access methods (including switch access scanning), digitized and synthesized speech outputs, encoding options, word prediction, and accelerated communication protocols. We also develop custom AAC iPad and tablet apps.
Our reading and writing solutions, designed with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines in mind, include text-to-speech (TTS) and speech-to-text programs for desktop and mobile devices, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, and Visual Scene Display (VSD) platforms. We also design corrective handwriting software with multisensory teaching features for students suffering from dysgraphia and other conditions that affect motor functions.
