FamTeck: Database Security and Compliance
FamTeck is a cybersecurity software company focusing on database application layer protection, IT consulting, e-business suite plugins, and Drupal web development.
“Our software protects application databases and immediately alerts you via text when anyone tries to access critical data from your system,” said Conrad Meertins, CEO of FamTeck. “We also work on web development. I like to work to create proven solutions and believe an answer to help a client is no more than three clicks away because we keep it simple.”
Meeting Customer Demands with Drupal 9
Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) wanted to upgrade and convert its web pages from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9. By leveraging Drupal 9, Chetu could satisfy the university’s demand for dynamic web pages that would provide faculty, staff, students, and applicants with easier access to relevant information.
Chetu’s expert developers worked to streamline the university’s website by utilizing Drupal 9 with MYSQL for database management and Rutgers Core Component Library (RCCL), creating dynamic web pages in the process. Chetu accessed the RCCL through the admin panel for necessary components to build the web pages.
Drupal 9’s versatility enables more seamless adaptability with operating systems, a more simplified process for content creation, stronger security, and an upgraded admin navigation system. Drupal is a preferred CMS because it’s scalable, flexible, and useful for custom web development projects. The advantages of upgrading from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 include stronger security, an upgraded admin navigation system, an updated media library, and multilingual capabilities.
“The work itself is straightforward, but there are a lot of steps involved, and it has to be well-executed,” Conrad Meertins said. “Chetu’s technical team and project team were excellent and easy to work with.”
Chetu demonstrated flexibility in working with client needs when FamTeck was directed by the university to pause the project multiple times. The project approval process includes multiple departments and state universities may pause projects without notice, creating additional hurdles to overcome when working to bring a project to fruition. Upon resumption of the project, Chetu was able to fulfill the deliverables and exceed client expectations by deploying Drupal 9’s features to optimize the university’s site.
“The university has rigid policies because it is a state school and has government officials to answer to,” Meertins noted. “The project was paused for four months, but Chetu knew exactly what to do, and they did it perfectly once the project was restarted.”
Custom Website Development
Chetu’s web development team successfully upgraded and optimized the GSAPP website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9.
“When I began researching companies for this project, I asked myself whom I could trust to complete this,” Meertins said. “I’m happy with how the project went even though it can be challenging when working with a client with government officials involved.”
Chetu’s Drupal developers created a more intuitive GSAPP website that included engaging content layouts and a more user-focused navigation experience.
Site Performance Upgrade Leads to Optimal End-User Experience
Optimizing GSAPP’s website eliminated any performance issues, and FamTeck received positive feedback from the university. End users can now enjoy a seamless experience using the new customized website.
“Chetu streamlined Rutgers’ website and all information is now clear and easily accessible by any end user. I would work with Chetu again,” Meertins said.
