CHETU AT THE SFBJ'S 2019 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR VIP RECEPTION

The South Florida Business Journal held its 2019 Business of the Year VIP Reception on Tuesday night at Del Frisco's Grille in Fort Lauderdale.

More than 4o people attended the private event hosted by Coastal Wealth, presenting sponsor of SFBJ's 22nd annual Business of the Year Awards. Honorees will be feted at an April 18 gala at Jungle Island in Miami, and featured in a special section in print and online on April 19.

The awards program honors excellence in business across various categories by revenue, and in special categories, such as the H. Wayne Huizenga Startup Award, minority-owned business, woman-owned business and others.

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honoree is iconic technology mogul Manuel "Manny" Medina, who will be touted for his longstanding success in business and philanthropic contributions to the local community.

In addition to presenting sponsor Coastal Wealth, BankUnited, Florida International University College of Business and the Miami Marlins are the gala's corporate sponsors.
