Project Overview

The Problem:

The client enlisted help from Chetu to revamp the desktop version of their proprietary catering management software. This project began as a bug-fixing venture to revamp the User Interface (UI) for key screens—essentially a User eXperience (UX) optimization initiative.

How Chetu fixed things

The Process:

Though the application was already built, Chetu was able to grasp the business flow of the application because Chetu developers were fluent in the application's native code, Ember JS, and understood food and beverage trends. For the web based UI design, Chetu streamlined screen designs based on the client's preexisting aesthetic.

Technologies implemented:

  • WEB APP: .NET Framework 4.5, EmberJS, and Web APIs
  • iOS APP: Objective C, XCODE 7.3
  • ANDROID APP: JavaScript (JDK1.7.0_79), Android Studio V1.5.1
  • SOURCE CONTROL: Bitbucket

The Impact:

After Chetu developers intervened:

  • The desktop and mobile versions of the software ran more cohesively
  • Expanded mobile app capabilities—now users have the capacity to edit and add events to the running schedule
  • Updated UI on both desktop and mobile versions
  • Debugged program interface
  • Ongoing project to completely streamline desktop-to-mobile user experiences

An Ongoing Partnership:

After optimizing the desktop version, focus shifted toward the software's mobile platform. Prior to Chetu's intervention the development process was at a standstill, and the mobile application contained rudimentary features that limited the user experience to basic search and viewing.
