Let's Talk !
I liked the way Chetu was organized, where you get a plan, you get deadlines, you get documentation…That’s why I chose them above the other two [developers]. And I would choose them again.

The technology leveraged on this project included:
We designed a custom Electrical Medical Records (EMR) system for a telehealth company, consolidating all operations into a unified platform to enable efficient records management, ePrescriptions, messaging, provider management, and payment processing.
Active Medical Solutions (AMS) is a completely remote, nationwide telehealth service designed to provide all-in-one access to the care and wellness services users need most. Currently serving about 1,200 patients, it offers personalized, expert-led medical support and facilitates direct communication between patients and providers.
Before they found Chetu, AMS was currently using an off-the-shelf EMR and other systems which needed to be consolidated, simplified, and made user-friendly. However, company founder Dr. Maureen Gibbons couldn’t find anything in the market to meet the specific challenges of AMS.
“What was available in the market that I could find was not conducive to running a practice with a lot of people involved…we wanted streamlined access [to support] staff and providers to be able to care for patients,” explained Dr. Gibbons.
In Chetu, Dr. Gibbons found the appropriate expertise to build the solution AMS needed. “I liked the way Chetu was organized, where you get a plan, you get deadlines, you get documentation…That’s why I chose them above the other two [developers]. And I would choose them again.”
Develop a comprehensive system to streamline patient chart management, medical records, ePrescription, messaging, provider management, and payments.
Designed a secure, user-friendly system for efficient medical records management and provider management
Integrated electronic prescription functionalities for seamless ePrescription
Integrated Square payment services for hassle-free payment processing
Enhanced patient portals with secure messaging features
Implemented lab integration to simplify Lab orders
Using N-tier architecture, we developed a responsive UI web application that could be used by patients, admin, and providers, taking and responding to direct requests from users. The backend behind the application communicated with database services and third-party integrations such as Short Message Service (SMS).
Depending on given roles and permissions, admin, users, and patients would have access to application functionalities including user settings, custom intake forms, patient charts, ePrescription, messaging, billing, and patient portals, enabling greater communication and ease of use.
The American Hospital Association predicts that the US will face a physician shortage of up to 86,000 physicians by 2036. Telehealth will be critical in addressing this growing shortage, and the NIH reports that integrating interoperable EMR/EHR systems with telehealth platforms directly contributes to “better health outcomes, improved patient experience, lower costs, and improved patient experience.”
“Those changes definitely came to fruition,” said Dr. Gibbons. “We could easily have access, other people could get access, it was easy to prescribe. Really, everything we wanted to happen happened for us.”
Chetu’s HIPAA-compliant EMR/EHR solutions promote interoperability, streamline workflows, and maximize productivity for any healthcare organization.
