The Challenge:

The client faced challenges integrating its system with diverse third-party platforms, each with unique configurations and data structures. Additionally, they needed to establish a CI/CD pipeline, set up Azure Pipelines, and push images to the Google Cloud private Container registry.

The Project:

Chetu was approached by the client to enhance its integration capabilities, especially by focusing on Level 1 integration with systems like Procore and Sage 300. The objective was to streamline the certificate of insurance tracking process and ensure compliance. The project involved configuring Docker, resolving SQL Server Docker container permission issues, and setting up a CI/CD pipeline using Azure Pipelines and Google Kubernetes Engine.

The Process:

Our team started the project by cloning the client’s solution on a local machine and setting up the project in Visual Studio 2019. We diligently tackled and resolved build issues within the project. Facing initial Docker configuration challenges on our development machine, we collaborated with the client’s project champion. Upon identifying a project load issue, we coordinated with the IT team to successfully configure VS-2019 and Docker on a new Windows 10 Pro machine, resolving the project load issue.

We continued our collaboration with the client, and the focus shifted to Docker configuration within the solution. And Docker issues were verified under their guidance. A task assigned by the project champion emphasized the necessity for dedicated resources with expertise in CI/CD pipelines and Docker.

We installed Postman and the client shared Postman collections, providing valuable insights into the uses of a third-party platform collection. Addressing build issues in a new branch, we successfully configured Docker based on the setup established in the old branch.
