Plantation, Fla. (December 20th, 2017) – Chetu, A custom software development company, was recently recognized by South Florida Business Journal as one of South Florida's 2018 Healthiest Employers. SFBJ intention is to honor organizations for their revolutionary commitment to employee wellbeing and for their dedication to the preservation of health and wellness.
Results are compiled through a survey process, where nominees undergo an investigation into their health and wellness initiatives. Governed by a committee of professionals in healthcare, wellness, academia, and business, the survey poses a series of questions to each workforce to gain insight into their employer's health campaign.
To address not only physical health, but also mental health, Chetu commits to several in-house wellness initiatives. Some of these initiatives include an art club, daily yoga sessions, and ping-pong tournaments. These programs are corporate-sponsored, designed to facilitate a productive work-life balance.
"We are a self-improving entity, and each year we aim to take greater strides in employee health and wellness," stated Prem Khari, VP of Operations, "A healthy workforce is conducive to a happy workforce, which ultimately leads to the greatest successes."
Extending past the barriers of office hours, Chetu instrumented an employee assistance program, which locates and provides contact information of specialists and medical professionals in the area. This alleviates the stress of vetting doctors during the workday. Chetu offers robust full-coverage health insurance to all employees, accessible immediately after hire. By expanding programs on several fronts, Chetu employee health and morale has increased significantly, translating into an increase in productivity as well.
On March 8, SFBJ will recognize finalists at a luncheon, and there finalists will learn the official rankings.
