Case Study
Chetu developed a mobile app for a healthcare solutions company, enabling significant cost savings through streamlined patient communication and support.
The technologies leveraged on this project included:
Cost savings of over $300 per case in interventional radiology, empowered by streamlined patient communication and enhanced care.
Healthcare providers face significant financial losses, ranging from $425 million to $1.4 billion dollars, due to patients being unable to complete MRI scans. This is often due to claustrophobia, pain, or disruptive patient motion. However, an effective solution such as a mobile application that revolutionizes patient communications can reduce such problems and losses. Our client approached Chetu to develop such a solution after coming to this realization.
The client offers a nationwide network of MRI, CT, EMG, and PET providers. They service workers' compensations, group health, self-insured, and cash-paying industries. They provide clients with access to high-quality tests at a low cost. They assist insurance industry professionals, patients, providers, and physicians with streamlined diagnostic radiology referrals. Their mission is to offer significant savings for their customer for all types of services like MRI, CT, EMG, and PET.

The client partnered with Chetu to create a mobile application that revolutionizes patient communications. The app, designed for ease of use, allows patients to make calls, send emails, and text messages, fill referral forms, and access educational material all in one place. This streamlined approach ensures a swift and simple way for patients to contact their doctor and access study material, promoting a sense of comfort and convenience.
Ensuring that all lines of communication are open is integral to a patient's health. Additionally, hearing the tone of a healthcare provider during a phone call can help ease any anxiety for the patient. While this mobile application offers text messaging and emails as a form of communication, calls can offer a more personal touch that messages cannot. The flexibility in choice makes this application of tremendous use in healthcare.
We reviewed the requirements for the project objective and determined that we would have two projects: an API and a hybrid Xamarin app. The API was developed using .NET and C#. The mobile application was developed using the Xamarin form. We leveraged AWS for cloud application hosting.
The application is compatible with Android and iOS devices, such as smartphones and tablets. Its web pages are responsive, so its UI adjusts automatically to different resolutions.
There is a feature for assigning time for each participant in the conference. The app is downloadable and can be used by anyone. The educational material is managed through an admin portal where the user can add documents and other related information.
Users can access a variety of referral links in the application. These include group health and worker compensation referrals, catering to different patient needs. The user simply fills in and submits the appropriate form, making the referral process quick and efficient.
Healthcare can be challenging, whether due to a lack of appointments or the difficulty in building a relationship with doctors. Chetu's mobile application, developed with a focus on enhancing doctor-patient communication, patient security, and satisfaction, aims to alleviate these challenges. By providing a platform for direct and efficient communication, the app fosters trust and reassurance in the patient-provider relationship.
