Chetu helped a large industry-leading payment technology and services provider expand its eCommerce capabilities with a scalable plug-in solution that would allow it to access an API for global transactions.

A robust cross-platform plug-in leveraging the PayFabric API, seamlessly integrated with Oracle Commerce Cloud. This solution meets stringent international security standards while providing a seamless user experience for online sales operations across diverse payment gateways.
The payment gateway company needed a secure, robust, and scalable cross-platform plug-in that would allow for financial transactions using Oracle’s cloud-based eCommerce solutions, across a variety of platforms, devices, and political and economic jurisdictions worldwide. It needed to be able to ensure seamless functionality across different operating and hardware systems. To be completely interconnected, the platform needed to leverage an API (Application Programming Interface) for smooth data transfers. These databases were operated by various third-party companies, each with their own protocols. The goal was to have a plug-in that could facilitate these requirements while maintaining the highest security level and, at the same time, could operate in the background of everyday transactions.
After an initial discovery meeting with the client, Chetu outlined the specific requirements and then created a complete scope of work. Chetu created a secure testing environment using JavaScript and Node.JS, strictly following and using Google JavaScript Code Conventions to begin development. A siloed staging environment was first used so that the plug-in could be tested in a secure controlled environment. Then to test the plug-in for real-world conditions, Chetu deployed the staging environment to the Oracle eCommerce Cloud.
Chetu’s objective was to create a plug-in that would work globally and across a large variety of payment gateways that had different and extensive protocols and databases. The plug-in had to adhere to international financial security standards, including PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, and CCPA, among others.
Additionally, the plug-in had to work within the Oracle Commerce Cloud System to enable secure and seamless online sales, including payment authorizations and fraud detection, and work globally, adhering to international standards and local laws and codes, using the Oracle Commerce Cloud system.
Chetu created a plug-in that leverages PayFabric API, enabling the plug-in to operate inside the Oracle Cloud eCommerce platform to process transactions, including the transmission of payment data to and from credit card information or banking information. The plug-in ensures that transactions are completed securely and instantly, all while running in the background for eCommerce sites. PayFabric is a type of “bridge” that connects the Oracle cloud eCommerce platform with payment processing systems. Not only did the plug-in meet or exceed all international standards, but it also provided a seamless user experience and a secure environment for eCommerce.
